Community Guidelines
The rules that keep buying and selling aircraft safe for everyone
MarketplaceAviation only works if buyers and sellers can trust each other. An aircraft is often the most expensive thing a person ever buys from a stranger, and that makes our marketplace an attractive target for scammers. These guidelines apply to every account, every listing and every message.
They complement our Terms of Service. By using the platform you agree to both.
What is not allowed
1. Scams and fraud
Advance-fee or overpayment schemes, fake listings, listing aircraft or parts you do not own or are not authorized to sell, and impersonating a seller, a broker or MarketplaceAviation staff. This also includes sending fake payment, escrow or shipping links.
2. Pushing conversations off the platform to deceive
Asking someone in your very first message to continue by email, WhatsApp, Telegram or other channels before any genuine exchange has taken place, or sending payment links in a chat. It is the most common opening move of a scam.
3. Spam and mass messaging
Copy-pasting the same message to many sellers, contacting sellers about items you have no real interest in, and unsolicited advertising or promotion of other services.
4. Misleading listings
False hours, prices, specifications or damage history, photos that do not show the actual aircraft or part, and duplicate listings of the same item.
5. Harassment and abuse
Threats, insults, discriminatory language and repeated messages to someone who has not replied or has asked you to stop.
6. Fake or multiple accounts
Registering with a false identity or a disposable email address, and creating new accounts to get around a suspension.
7. Illegal items and content
Stolen aircraft or parts, parts presented as airworthy or serviceable when they are not, and photos or text you do not have the rights to use.
How we enforce these rules
- Automatic checks limit how many new people an account can contact in a short time, and flag first messages that try to move the conversation off the platform.
- Depending on the case, we may remove content, limit messaging, suspend an account or delete it.
- A suspended account cannot log in, and its listings and parts are hidden from the site.
- We notify suspensions by email to the address used to register.
- In cases of fraud we act immediately, without prior warning.
How to stay safe
- Never pay outside the platform to someone you have not verified, and never click payment links sent in a chat. MarketplaceAviation will never ask you to pay through a link in a message.
- See the aircraft or part and its documents (logbooks, certificates, registration) before paying anything.
- If you use an escrow service, choose it yourself. Do not use one suggested by the other party.
- Be wary of prices that are far below the market, and of anyone who is in a hurry.
- Be wary of buyers who offer to pay more than the asking price and ask for a refund of the difference.

If your account was suspended and you believe it was an error, write to info@marketplaceaviation.com from the email address you registered with, and explain what happened. We review every request.
