Description
Wilco Aviation is delighted to present the exclusive listing of Socata TB20 Trinidad G-CORB, a highly capable and comfortable four-seat touring aircraft powered by the robust 250 horsepower Lycoming IO-540 engine. Well maintained and thoughtfully equipped, this aircraft has served its current owners faithfully for many years and is now ready to begin a new chapter with its next custodian. Currently based with us at Henstridge Airfield, G-CORB has spent much of its life with a long-standing group at Gloucester Airport. The group enjoyed countless adventures and touring trips in this versatile machine before deciding, with regret, to bring their ownership arrangement to a close. Their decision now offers a new opportunity for a discerning pilot or syndicate to take advantage of a well-cared-for aircraft with an excellent pedigree. The Socata TB20 is part of the renowned TB series, affectionately known as the “Caribbean Planes.” Built by the French manufacturer Socata in Tarbes, these aircraft were designed with both comfort and capability in mind. While many four-seat single-engine piston aircraft offer performance as their headline appeal, the TB20 carved a niche by prioritising space, refinement, and ease of use. With its wide 49-inch cabin, car-like interior finishes, and a canopy that provides panoramic visibility, it is often described as one of the most comfortable four-seat touring aircraft in its class. For passengers and pilots alike, the spacious cabin and thoughtful ergonomics make every journey a pleasure rather than just a point-to-point exercise. Compared with narrower aircraft of a similar size and power, the TB20 does trade some performance for its comfort and weight. Yet owners consistently highlight how this balance is a benefit rather than a compromise. The aircraft’s constant-speed propeller and efficient design still deliver solid cross-country performance, while the roomy interior and high-quality fit and finish create an enjoyable environment for long-distance touring. The TB20’s cabin design also demonstrates Socata’s attention to detail, with easy access via doors on both sides, a well-laid-out instrument panel, and a cockpit arrangement that promotes both comfort and safety. G-CORB is particularly attractive thanks to its avionics suite and additional upgrades. It is fitted with a Garmin GTN 650 GPS/NAV/COM system, offering the advantages of SBAS/WAAS/EGNOS capability for precise and modern navigation. A Garmin 340 audio panel and Garmin GTX330ES transponder with ADS-B Out further enhance both communication and compliance with modern airspace requirements. Traditional yet reliable Bendix King equipment complements the panel, including a KX155A 8.33kHz NAV/COM, KN64 DME, KR87 ADF, and KI525A HSI. A JPI EDM700 engine monitor ensures accurate engine management, while redundancy is provided through dual altimeters and a secondary electric artificial horizon. For added safety, the aircraft is equipp
