An exceptional and immaculated restored DHC1 Chipmunk. G-ARMG was built as a two seat trainer for the Royal Airforce in 1952 in the UK Chester Factory. It has appeared at not One but Two Royal Reviews - the first in 1953 during the Queens Coronation Review at RAF Odiham, and the second at RAF Fairford in 2018 during the RAF 100 event. Based at RAF Benson in a heated secured hangar and maintained by the infamous team at Arco Duxford, this aircraft has low engine hours (658) and low airframe hours (9539). Recent ongoing maintenance work on the aircraft has included overhauled mags, overhauled brakes with new disks, pads and seals (original braking system), It has been meticulously restored inside and out and bears the Cranwell colour scheme - blue band and Crest on the engine cowling. It is on the LAA permit scheme and has a DHSL TRA in place. It has very low fatigue hours throughout and will come with a fresh annual and permit from Arco in mid May 2026. Equipped with Trig TT31 Mode S transponder and a Trig TY96 8.33Mhz radio, compass (new and old style) leather seats and various cushions for front and rear cockpits.
